Peter Alward

Conductor and musicologist

Peter Alward is a German conductor and musicologist who has worked with many of the world's leading orchestras. Born in 1952, Alward began his career as a conductor in the 1970s and has since become known for his interpretations of classical music. He has worked with prominent conductors such as Herbert von Karajan and Claudio Abbado, and has also taught at several music schools and universities.
