Peter Dunning

Peter Dunning is an American psychologist and researcher. He is known for his work on the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias that describes the tendency for people to overestimate their own abilities. Dunning has published numerous papers on this topic and has given several lectures on the subject. He is a professor at Cornell University and has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan. He is based in Ithaca, New York.
