Peter Garrett is an Australian musician, singer, songwriter, and politician. He was the leader of the Australian Greens and the Minister for the Environment in the Australian government. Garrett was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Midnight Oil, which was active from 1972 to 2002. He has also worked as a radio presenter and has been involved in various environmental and social causes.
