Phil Willis was a retired Air Force Major and a close friend of President Lyndon B. Johnson. He was a decorated war hero and had a distinguished military career. Willis was also a photographer and took several hundred photographs of the president and his motorcade during the 1963 Dallas trip. He is known for his bravery and his commitment to his country. Willis passed away in 2010 at the age of 85.
