Philippe Petit is a French high-wire walker and artist. Born on April 13, 1949, in Tarbes, France, he is best known for his daring high-wire walks between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City in 1971. Petit's artistry and fearlessness have made him a legendary figure in the world of circus arts. He has written several books about his life and work, including his memoir, 'To Reach the Clouds'.
