Professor Lars Engebretsen

Professor Lars Engebretsen is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine expert. He is the Head of Scientific Activities in the Department of Medicine and Science at the International Olympic Committee. Engebretsen is a strong advocate for the multidisciplinary approach to patient care and has written extensively on the topic. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Nordic Prize in Medicine and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine Hall of Fame. Engebretsen is also the Editor of the British Journal of Sports Medicine's Olympic-supported issues. He is based in Oslo, Norway.
