Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of a unified China, ruling from 221 to 210 BCE. He is known for his military campaigns and his efforts to standardize weights, measures, currency, and writing systems across China. He is also famous for his Terracotta Army, a collection of life-sized clay soldiers that were buried with him to protect him in the afterlife.
