Raoul Peck

Raoul Peck is a Haitian-Canadian filmmaker, writer, and activist. He is best known for his documentary films, which often explore themes of identity, colonialism, and social justice. Peck has worked with several prominent directors, including Jean-Guy Éthier and Jean-Pierre Léaud. He has also written several books and has been a vocal advocate for human rights and social justice. Peck has won several awards for his work, including the Grand Prix des Amériques at the Fantasia International Film Festival. He is a graduate of the Université de Montréal.
