French conductor and musicologist
René Pichon was a French conductor and musicologist. He was born in 1885 in Paris, France. Pichon studied music at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he later taught. He was known for his work on French opera and music, and was particularly interested in the music of Claude Debussy. Pichon conducted many performances of French opera and music, and was a respected figure in the music world. He was also a prolific writer and published several books on music and opera. Pichon's work on French opera and music helped to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of these genres. He died in 1943 at the age of 58.
