About Rep.
Rep. Gregory Meeks is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 5th congressional district since 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has served on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Meeks was born in the Bronx, New York, and graduated from Fordham University. He worked as a lawyer and a community organizer before entering politics. He has been a strong advocate for social justice and civil rights. Meeks is also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
