Civil Rights Lawyer and Activist
Richard Dinkins is a civil rights lawyer and activist who has dedicated his career to fighting for racial justice and equality. Born in 1947 in New York City, Dinkins graduated from Harvard Law School and went on to become a prominent figure in the civil rights movement. He served as the first African American mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993 and has been a vocal advocate for social justice and human rights. Dinkins has received numerous awards for his work, including the NAACP's Spingarn Medal and the National Bar Association's Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also a professor at the New York Law School and has written extensively on topics related to civil rights and social justice.
