Author and educational psychologist
Richard L. Allington is an American author and educational psychologist. He is a professor of educational psychology at the University of Florida and has written extensively on topics such as reading instruction and literacy education. Allington has also written several books for children and young adults, including 'Teaching for Literacy' and 'What Really Matters for Struggling Readers'. He is a member of the National Reading Panel and has received numerous awards for his work, including the National Education Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
