Richard Ledrede was a bishop and a prominent figure in medieval Ireland. He was the Bishop of Ossory from 1317 to 1327 and was known for his conservative views and his opposition to the growing power of the nobility. Ledrede was a strong advocate for the Catholic Church and was committed to rooting out heresy and witchcraft. He was a skilled orator and was known for his ability to rally support for his causes. Despite his reputation, Ledrede's life and legacy are not well documented and much of what is known about him comes from contemporary accounts.
