Richard Og de Burgh was a 13th-century Irish nobleman and military leader. He was the Lord of Connacht and the Red Earl of Ulster, and played a significant role in the feuds that ravaged Ireland during this period. De Burgh was known for his bravery and military prowess, and was feared by his enemies. He was also a patron of the arts and architecture, and commissioned several notable buildings during his lifetime. De Burgh died in 1295, during the height of the feuds.
