About Richard
Richard Oswald was a Scottish slaver who made his fortune in the 19th century. He was known for his wealth and his love of golf, and was often seen playing on his private island in the Caribbean. Oswald was also a prolific writer and published several books on his travels and business ventures. He died in 1875, but his legacy continues to be the subject of controversy and debate.
