Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and short story writer
Richard Russo is an American novelist, short story writer, and professor. He is best known for his novels about the lives of ordinary people in New York City. Russo was born in 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa. Russo is a Pulitzer Prize winner and has been a finalist for the National Book Award. He is currently a professor at the University of Arizona.
