Richard Strongbow

Richard Strongbow was a Norman lord and military leader who played a key role in the Norman invasion of Ireland in the 12th century. He was the leader of a group of Norman mercenaries who arrived in Ireland in 1169 and went on to conquer much of the country. Strongbow was known for his bravery and military prowess, and he became one of the most famous Norman lords in Irish history. He was also known for his relationships with Irish leaders, including Diarmait McMurrough.
