Robert Berdella was an American serial killer and sex offender who was convicted of murdering three men in Kansas City, Missouri. He was known as the "Carnicero de Kansas City" (Kansas City Butcher). Berdella was born on April 1, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was arrested in 1997 and later confessed to the murders. He was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection in 2004.
