Duke of Normandy and brother of William the Conqueror
Robert Curthose was the Duke of Normandy and brother of William the Conqueror. He played a key role in the Norman Conquest of England in 1066 and was a prominent figure in the early years of the Norman dynasty. Robert was known for his military prowess and his ability to navigate the complexities of court politics. He died in 1106 and was succeeded by his son, Henry I.
