Robert Edsel is an American author and historian. He is best known for his books on World War II and the Holocaust, including 'The Boy Knights of St. George'. Edsel has also written extensively on the history of the Catholic Church and the Knights Templar. He has been a guest on numerous radio and television programs, including 'The History Channel' and 'PBS NewsHour'. Edsel has a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
