Robert Sobukwe was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician. He was a key figure in the Pan Africanist Congress and played a significant role in the fight against apartheid. Sobukwe was also a prominent figure in the African National Congress and was involved in several high-profile protests and demonstrations. He was arrested and imprisoned several times for his activism, but continued to advocate for social justice and equality. Sobukwe is remembered as a hero and a symbol of resistance against apartheid. He passed away in 1978.
