Robert Thompson is an American media expert and analyst. He is the president of eMarketer, a market research firm that tracks digital media trends. Thompson has written extensively on media and technology topics and has been featured in various media outlets. He is also a professor at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Thompson is based in New York City.
