Roger Ailes was an American journalist and media executive who founded Fox News in 1996. He served as the network's CEO until his resignation in 2016. Ailes was a prominent figure in the media industry and was known for his conservative views. He was also a pioneer in the use of cable news to shape public opinion. Ailes passed away in 2017. He was based in New York City.
