Ryosei Akazawa

Ryosei Akazawa is a Japanese politician serving as the Minister of International Trade and Industry since 2021. He previously served as the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from 2018 to 2021. Akazawa has been a member of the Liberal Democratic Party since 2005 and has held various positions in the party, including Chairman of the party's Policy Research Council. He has also served as a member of the House of Representatives since 2005. Akazawa is known for his expertise in trade and industry policy, and has been a key figure in shaping Japan's economic agenda. He has also been involved in various international trade negotiations, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Akazawa is a graduate of the University of Tokyo and holds a degree in economics.
