Saint Hilary of Poitiers

Saint Hilary of Poitiers was a bishop and doctor of the early Church who lived in the 4th and 5th centuries. He was a prominent figure in the development of Christian doctrine and was known for his writings on the Trinity and the Incarnation. Hilary was a careful reader of Scripture and was able to draw out its deeper meaning without losing its clarity. He was a master at teaching and was widely respected by his contemporaries.
