Saint Peter Claver

Saint Peter Claver was a Catholic priest and missionary who dedicated his life to serving the poor and marginalized. He was born in 1581 in Verdu, Catalonia, Spain, and was enrolled in the University of Barcelona at a young age. Claver went on to become a priest and was ordained in 1605. He spent his life traveling to various parts of the world, including the Americas, Africa, and Asia, spreading the teachings of Christianity and providing aid to those in need. Claver was known for his compassion and kindness, and was revered by his contemporaries for his selflessness and dedication to his faith. He was canonized as a saint in 1888.
