Saint Pope Leo the Great was the 45th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 440 to 461 AD. He is best known for his role in the Council of Chalcedon, where he helped to define the doctrine of the Incarnation. Pope Leo is also remembered for his writings on theology and his efforts to promote unity among the churches. He is considered a Doctor of the Church and is revered as a saint by the Catholic Church. Pope Leo was born in Rome, Italy, and died there as well. He is buried in the St. Peter's Basilica.
