Founder of the Union of Catholic Apostolate
Saint Vincent Pallotti was an Italian Catholic priest and founder of the Union of Catholic Apostolate. He was born in 1781 in Rome, Italy, and died in 1850. Pallotti was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church during the 19th century, and was known for his advocacy of the importance of the Eucharist and the role of the laity in the Church. He founded the Union of Catholic Apostolate, which aimed to promote the spiritual and apostolic work of Catholic laypeople. Pallotti was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1984 and canonized as a saint in 2006.
