Former New York City Traffic Commissioner
Sam Schwartz, also known as Gridlock Sam, is a former traffic commissioner for the city of New York. He served in this role from 2002 to 2009 and was known for his efforts to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the city. Schwartz has a strong background in transportation policy and has worked with several government agencies to develop and implement transportation plans. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has a Master's degree in urban planning from Columbia University. Schwartz is based in New York City.
