Samuel Ward

Samuel Ward was a colonial American politician and lawyer who served as a delegate to the Continental Congress. He was a member of the Rhode Island Provincial Congress and played a key role in the state's fight for independence. Ward was a skilled lawyer and served as the chief justice of Rhode Island. He was born in 1725 and died in 1776. Ward is remembered as a leading figure in the fight for American independence and a key player in the rivalry with Stephen Hopkins.
