Sarah Fuller Flower Adams

Sarah Fuller Flower Adams was an American hymn writer and poet. She was born in 1805 and died in 1849. Adams is best known for writing the famous hymn 'Nearer, My God, to Thee'. She was a devout Christian and drew inspiration from her faith when writing her hymns. Adams was also a talented poet and wrote many other hymns and poems. She is considered one of the most important American hymn writers of her time.
