Senator Wendy Davis is a Democratic politician from Fort Worth, Texas. She is best known for her 2013 eleven-hour-long filibuster to block a Senate bill which included restrictive abortion regulations. Senator Davis has been a vocal advocate for women's rights and has been involved in various initiatives to promote equality. She has also been involved in politics for several years, serving in the Texas Senate and running for governor in 2014. Senator Davis is the founder of the women's equality organization Deeds Not Words.
