About Septimius
Septimius Severus was a Roman emperor from 193 to 211 AD. He rose to power during a time of crisis in the Roman Empire and ruled for nearly two decades. Severus was known for his military campaigns and his efforts to restore stability to the empire. He was also known for his patronage of the arts and his efforts to promote the Roman Empire's interests. Severus was succeeded by his sons, Caracalla and Geta.
