Shahryar Faghani is an Iranian historian and author known for his in-depth research on the Pahlavi dynasty. Born in 1957 in Tehran, Iran, he earned a Ph.D. in history from the University of Tehran. His works focus on the political and social aspects of the royal family's rule. Faghani has written several books on the subject, including “The Shah’s Secret Police: The Iranian Intelligence System’. He is currently a professor at the University of Tehran.
