Late Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey
Sheila Oliver is a former Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey, serving from 2014 to 2022. She was the first woman to hold the office and the first African American to serve in the position. Oliver was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for 20 years before being elected Lieutenant Governor. She is a graduate of Rutgers University and has a master's degree in public administration from Columbia University. Oliver is known for her advocacy on issues such as education, healthcare, and economic development. She is also a strong supporter of women's rights and LGBTQ+ rights.
