Shirley Caesar

Shirley Caesar is an American gospel singer and songwriter. She is best known for her powerful voice and hit songs such as "God Sent the Rain" and "You Brought the Sunshine". Caesar has won multiple Grammy Awards for her work and has been nominated for multiple other awards. She has also been recognized for her philanthropic work, particularly in the area of education. Caesar was born on December 24, 1937, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and grew up in a family of musicians. She began her career in music in the 1950s and eventually landed her own record label.
