Sig Haugdahl was a Norwegian-American adventurer and racing driver. He is best known for setting an unofficial world record for the fastest speed on land in 1923, driving his Wisconsin Special at a speed of 289 km/h. Haugdahl was born in Norway and later moved to the United States, where he became a naturalized citizen. He was a pioneer in the field of motorsport and his achievements continue to inspire car enthusiasts today.
