Sir Digby Jones

Sir Digby Jones is a British businessman and politician. He was born in 1952 in the West Midlands and studied law at university. After graduating, he joined the Royal Navy to pay his way through law school. Jones went on to become a high-flier in the world of corporate finance, working for several major companies before being appointed as the Director General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in 2003. During his tenure, he was knighted in 2005 for his services to business. Jones is known for his advocacy of free trade and his efforts to promote British business interests abroad.
