Biologist and writer
Sir Julian Huxley was a British biologist, conservationist, and writer. He was a prominent figure in the development of modern evolutionary theory and was a key figure in the establishment of the World Wildlife Fund. Huxley was also a prolific writer, publishing numerous books on science, philosophy, and literature. He was a close friend and colleague of Aldous Huxley, and the two authors were known for their intellectual and literary pursuits. Sir Julian Huxley was knighted in 1949 for his services to science and conservation. He continued to work as a writer and advocate until his death in 1975.
