Sir Max Hastings is a British historian, author, and broadcaster. He is the author of several books on military history, including the acclaimed 'Overlord: D-Day and the Battle for Normandy'. Hastings has written for numerous publications, including The Times and The Sunday Times. He has also presented several documentaries and has been a frequent commentator on television and radio. Hastings was knighted in 2013 for his services to history. He is currently the editor of The Daily Mail's history section.
