Sir Theophilus Shepstone

Sir Theophilus Shepstone was a British colonial administrator who served as Administrator of the Transvaal from 1877 to 1883. He was a key figure in the annexation of the Transvaal and played a significant role in the development of the region. Shepstone was a strong advocate for British expansion in Africa and was instrumental in the establishment of the British South Africa Company. He was knighted in 1877 for his services to the British Empire.
