Slavko Kvaternik was a Croatian politician and historian who was a key figure in the Croatian Ustaše movement during World War II. He was a close associate of Ante Pavelić, the leader of the Ustaše, and played a significant role in the party's ideology. Kvaternik was tried and convicted of war crimes after the war and died in prison in 1945.
