Smedley Butler

Smedley Butler was a Major General in the United States Marine Corps who served from 1901 to 1933. He is best known for his book "War is a Racket", which critiques the military-industrial complex and the profiteering that occurs during times of war. Butler was a vocal critic of US foreign policy and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in World War I.
