Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz

Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz was a Mexican poet, philosopher, and composer who lived in the 17th century. She was born in San Miguel Nepantla, Mexico and was educated at the convent of Santa Clara. De la Cruz was a prolific writer and composer, and her works include poetry, plays, and musical compositions. She was known for her intelligence and her advocacy for women's education and rights. De la Cruz died in 1695 at the age of 44.
