St. Francis de Sales

Francis de Sales was a French Catholic priest and bishop who served as the bishop of Geneva from 1602 until his death in 1622. He is best known for his writings on spirituality and his role in the Catholic Reformation. He is considered a Doctor of the Church and is revered for his wisdom and compassion. He is also known for his work in promoting the use of the vernacular language in the Mass. He was canonized as a saint in 1904.
