Latin theologian and biblical scholar
St. Jerome was a 4th-century Christian priest and scholar. He was born in Stridon, a town in the Roman province of Pannonia, and later became a priest in Rome. Jerome was a prolific writer and translator, and his works include the Vulgate Bible, which is still used by the Catholic Church today.
