About St.
St. Maurice was a Christian saint and military leader who lived in the 3rd century AD. He was the chief captain of the Theban legion and led his men in a heroic stand against the Emperor Maximian's orders to massacre the Christian population. He was martyred along with his men and is now revered as a saint in the Catholic Church.
