St. Pope Leo the Great was the 64th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 440 to 461 AD. He is considered one of the greatest popes in Catholic history, known for his strong leadership and his role in shaping the doctrine of the Trinity. Leo was born in Rome, Italy, and was educated at the University of Rome. He became a priest and later a bishop before being elected pope. During his papacy, Leo played a key role in the Council of Chalcedon, which defined the nature of Christ. He is also known for his sermons and writings on theology and spirituality.
