Sylvia Whitaker

Sylvia Whitaker is a literary critic and historian who has written extensively about American literature and culture. She is a professor of English at a university in the United States and has taught courses on American literature and creative writing. Whitaker has written about the literary circles of the 1950s and 60s, and has interviewed many of the writers who were part of those circles. She is a frequent speaker at literary festivals and conferences, and has given talks about Capote's life and work.
