Tessa Jowell was a British Labour Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Brent Central from 1997 to 2015. She was the wife of former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and was known for her work on various charitable causes, including cancer research and children's welfare. Jowell was a strong advocate for women's rights and was a vocal supporter of the Labour Party's policies. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and passed away in 2015 after a long battle with the disease.
